A detective working for the Los Santos Police Department has been killed in a shooting incident on Vinewood Park Drive in East Vinewood. Shortly after midnight a male drove a car up into the Vinewood Casino car park. He was then closely followed by a Detective in an unmarked vehicle. Both the Detective and male got out of their vehicles; it was at this point that the Detective raised his weapon towards the male and shouted orders for him to face away and raise his hands. The male did not comply to orders and decided to then reach behind his back to pull out a handgun from his side. The male then proceeded to fire three rounds towards the police vehicle which struck the Detective in the chest seconds after he left his vehicle. The Detective was rushed to a hospital but did not survive police authorities have said. A manhunt is currently underway for the suspect. A statement has been issued by the Police Commissioner "On behalf of the entire Police Department of Los Santos, I extend our most profound condolences to our fallen colleague and his family. This killing shows the danger all our officers face when they put on their uniform to protect and serve the citizens of this city. The department is not naming the officer at this time due to the safety of his friends and family but the general public can rest assured knowing that we will do everything in our power to find this cold blooded, merciless individual and bring him to justice".
